It's jam every other day

PAARLITE Emmaleen Kriel has published her second book, “Jam Every Other Day” about the joys of having a big family.
A launch function will be held at the Hout Street Gallery in Paarl on 5 September at 18:00.
Says Emma, “I have often been asked why I’ve had so many children, and pondered on that myself many times. I’ve also been asked how we managed in ‘that tiny cottage’ and with so little money.
“This book, by means of anecdotes and flashbacks, tries to answer some of those questions and touches on the joys, trials and tribulations of the larger family.
“I don’t pretend to have the answers, but instead, share with other parents what I’ve learnt, often the hard way.”
The writing bug has obviously bitten Emma, whose first book “Close the Door Behind You” was about her travels as a carer in Europe. Both books will be available at the launch.
