Cultivaria, a fest with finesse, promises to be an even greater success in its second year.
Paarl is buzzing with preparations for this festival, which will stage more than 100 productions at 11 different venues between 21 and 24 September.
Tickets are selling quickly and this week’s top selling shows were Chris Chameleon, Bring jou hart with Theuns Jordaan and Juanita du Plessis, the comedy Die vrou wat haar man gekook het with Pedro Kruger, Marion Holm and Ané Mostert, as well as the musical extravaganza Tydloos II.
The Bovril Black Tie dinner table has already been sold out. Entertainment includes a wide spectrum of genres from drama and dance to music.
The musical kaleidoscope provides a variety that will suit any music lover ranging from popular music, rock, jazz to classical and instrumental performances.
The food & wine emporium at the Faure Stadium will be a paradise for gourmets and lovers of fine food and wine.
Top restaurants and 18 wineries offer fantastic food and wines at cellar door prices with live entertainment around the clock.
Culinary delights on offer range from strawberries and cream to German delicacies, traditional South African dishes such as waterblommetjiebredie and smoorsnoek with sweet potatoes.
The emporium has a capacity of 1500 seats at serviced tables with qualified waiters in attendance to ensure a well-deserved break between productions.
Pianist Bram Potgieter, Nico Langeveldt and his band as well as the scintillating a capella group Adamsappel will create a rhythmic backdrop around the clock as visitors sample the best of Paarl’s culinary delights.
You can also listen to the hits from yesterday to today, performed by Cosy as well as top jazz performers Dinges-hulle van die Kliphuis with Alvin Dyers.
Don’t miss the autograph sessions with Egoli stars such as Brümilda van Rensburg, Eckard Rabe and Hennie Smit.
