Is company really expanding?

WOULD like to comment on the article on Parceval herbal company expanding in Paarl Post (23 August).
“Parceval’s growth in the last two years has forced it to investigate alternative premises for future growth and expansion.”
If the company had the growth over the past two years, why were a lot of us retrenched in June? Farm, workshop, factory and office workers were retrenched.
“Parceval has been involved in extensive farming operations in Wellington and has been at the forefront of new farming methods in the herbal industry.”
Does being in the forefront mean that you have to retrench all your farm workers and sell your farm?
