Tribute to legends of the Cape

THE production “Legends of the Cape”, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of the successful Richard Jon Smith Show, showcases at the Wellington Town Hall on Monday 24 September.
The exciting band, Take Note, Cape Town’s newest and exciting club-band, is the official showband for all the Legend of the Cape shows. Thereafter the show will also go to Paarl, Worcester, Ceres and Malmesbury.
This production also pays tribute to and celebrate yester-year’s Cape mega music stars who attained national and worldwide acclaim, namely Jonathan Butler, Brenda Fassie, Richard Jon Smith, The Rockets, Little Ronnie Joyce, Ricardo, Neville Nash, Zayne Adams, Lionel Petersen and Anneline Malebo of the super-group, Joy.
Collectively these Cape artists sold over 20 million records!
Special guest star, is the man who became the youngest artist to top radio charts in South Africa with his single, Give A Little Love, Ronnie Joyce!
Legends of the Cape is billed as family show, with special matinée shows arranged where there is a demand, and is also available to schools, sports organisations and churches as a fund-raiser.
New artists which include the twelve year-old Little Shuaib Rae-Cliffe and electric performer Petto Bock who has just returned from Spain, will hit the scene.
