Artists show off their best

THE Cultivaria Festival boasts a huge collective art exhibition with more than 100 top artists participating in the Wine and Art Route in Paarl.
Art lovers can look forward to a celebration of visual arts at 14 galleries within a four kilometre stretch along Paarl’s Main Street.
Discover the diversity and synchronicity of 21st century art and explore the sensual combination of amazing art and fine wines during this visual arts showcase that incorporates different genres and media.
Top curators such as Lucy van Wyk, Wendy Roux, Cornelia Smook, Anna-Marie Scholtz, Riaan Vosloo, David Zetler, Carla Crafford and Sihan Wiid have collaborated with festival art consultant Johann du Plessis to create exhibitions featuring photography, sculpture, three-dimensional installations, fine art as well as various contemporary design genres such as floral, fashion, industrial and graphic design.
Exhibiting artists range from established local and international artists to young, upcoming new talent utilising different media from African beadwork, textiles, ceramics and pottery, paint, paper, plastic, bronze, wood, steel and glass.
Venues and galleries will be open all day until 18:00 for the duration of the route. A special catalogue of all artists’s work will be available for R50.
