AT the Austrian International Wine Challenge, held in Vienna, the Grande Provence 2005 Chardonnay was awarded a gold medal and both the Grande Provence Cabernet Sauvignon and the new Grande Provence Sauvignon Blanc 2007 received an impressive silver.
The MUNDUSvini International Wine Awards 2007 held in Germany each year has just announced its results. A total of 4925 wines from 35 countries took part this year.
The newly released Grande Provence 2005 Chardonnay, as well as the soon to be released Grande Provence 2006 Shiraz both received silver medals.
This is the second time the Estate has been awarded for its exceptional wine at MUNDUSvini.
Says winemaker Jaco Marais, “It is simply wonderful to be recognised yet again for the superior and distinctive wines we are creating here at Grande Provence, furthermore to know that consistency is being attained.”
According to the organisers, MUNDUSvini has now become the most important wine competition in Germany and the largest wine-tasting event organised by the OIV worldwide.
