Garth Thomas triumphs

LOCAL cyclist Garth Thomas had an excellent start to the Western Cape Spring-league season after winning the Geco Durbanville Children's Home funride on Sunday.
Thomas and fellow CSC/Marcello-teammate Chris Willemse Jnr competed against a number of the top SA riders on this 95km course.
Although the competition was tough from start to finish, Thomas proved his worth by taking the victory in a time of 2h25mins04s.
CSC/Marcello team manager, Chris Willemse Snr said the conditions were very windy which made it difficult for the riders.
