THE annual Drakenstein Hospice Spring Walk will be held on Saturday 27 October and starts at Paarl Rugby Club.
Whether you choose to test your speed and endurance on the challenging 22km Mountain Walk at 06:00, or stroll the 11km spring walk at 08:00, the 8km fun walk at 08:15 or 3km kiddies walk at 08:30, it is always a wonderful day.
The walk is for all members of the family. It does not matter if you are young, old, fit or not so fit.
You can choose to go at your own pace and enjoy the unique beauty and tranquility of the pretty Boland town with spectacular views of majestic mountains, the Berg River and the arboretum, or you can add this to your calendar of serious walking events.
Participation guarantees that you will be influencing someone’s life as part of Drakenstein Hospice’s vision of providing no end to caring.

* MOUNTAIN-BIKERS, can enjoy a day of fun at Rhebokskloof Estate on the slopes of Paarl Mountain on Saturday. The event is a fundraising initiative by Grade fours of Courtrai Primary School.
Both 30km and 45km routes start and finish at Rhebokskloof in Windmeul, 45km.
There will be braais and other refreshments.
For the kids there will be a jungle gym, jumping castles and green lawns to play on.

* THE Paarl neighbourhood New Orleans and surrounding areas will unite against HIV/Aids Saturday at 08:30 during a 5km fun walk that will be hosted by the Gathering Wholeness Centre.
The walk will start and end at the centre at 32 New Orleans Avenue.
Registration is R5 in aid of Bowy House caring for babies and young children in Paarl who are affected by the HIV/Aids virus and who have been orphaned because of the virus.
