No horsing around at show-jumping interschools

HORSES and riders were put through their paces at the sixth show-jumping interschools which were held at the Evergreen Stables in Bo Daljosaphat on Saturday.
Altogether 60 participants from eight local clubs took part in both individual and team events, with Girls' High’s team proving best overall.
The competition was tough throughout and there was little or no room for errors.
First up was the individual competition.
Nienke de Beer on Liquorice (Hugo Rust, class 1, 40cm), Holly Wynne on Ebony Lass (La Rochelle, class 3, 50cm), Nicola van Rooyen on Snapper (class 4, 60cm) and Elzabe Vogt on Women's Lib (Girls' High, class 5, 80cm) took the honours in their respective classes.
The winners in the team competitions were: Class 2, pre-novice - Hugo Rust (Marnel Sauerman, Liandri Koegelenberg, Nienke de Beer); class 6 - Bridge House (Soninke Combrinck; Courtney Peck; Kinvarra Walters); class 7 intermediate - Paarl Gym (Annchen von Ahlften, Su-Elna Bester, Leandri Oberholzer and Peet Reyneke); class 8 novice - Girls' High (Natasha Jordaan, Lindi du Plessis, Elzaan Booysen and Kirsten Erasmus); best pre-novice - Team Roving (Bianca Mincione, Shannon Lindhorst and Courtney Husselmann).
