Restaurants nominated

ON the shortlist of the finest restaurants in South Africa competing in the 2007 Eat Out Restaurant Awards, are five local eateries.
They are Bosman’s at Grande Roche (Paarl), and the Franschhoek establishments Bread & Wine, Grande Provence, Reuben’s and the Tasting Room at Le Quartier Francais.
Selected from more than 800 restaurants across the country, the 20 nominees will undergo a rigorous judging process before the Eat Out Top 10 Restaurants will be unveiled at South Africa’s ‘Foodie Oscars’ - the 2007 Eat Out Restaurant Awards - on Sunday 25 November.
Some of the same restaurants shine in the Top 100 in the 2008 “dine” restaurant guide just out.
Listed among the Top Ten deluxe restaurants are Bosman’s at the Grande Roche Hotel in Paarl, and the Tasting Room at Le Quartier Francais.
Among the Top Ten Smart Casual venues are Megu in Paarl and Bread and Wine in Franschhoek.
Among the Top 10 Everyday familiar neighbourhood eateries offering quick meals at reasonable prices in ultra-relaxed circumstances is Joostenberg Bistro near Stellenbosch.
