AFTER the first two weeks of the Rhodes u.11 T20 cricket development tournament Pniel and Bridge House Primary schools are the teams to watch in Pools 1 and 2 respectively.
Last week Pniel took on Wemmershoek, beating them by 47 runs.
Batting first, Pniel mustered 75 runs for the loss of eight wickets.
Alfredo Julies (17), Shelwyn Cupido (18) and Kurtley Claasen (15) each played a splendid knock taking their team to the highest score in the competition thus far. Wemmershoek struggled from the start, losing their final wicket in their 19th over for only 28 runs.
Bridge House played their first game against Groendal last week.
Groendal took guard first and scored 44 for the loss of 9 wickets.
Dillon Oktober was Groendal's leading scorer with 15 runs while Leigh de Wet and Daan Rosier each collected two wickets. Bridge House started their innings with guns blazing and hit the winning runs in the thirteenth over, losing only two wickets. Graeme Wellham (10) and Johan Vorster (11) was unbeaten at the close of play.
