Hot band at cool picnic concert

SOUTH AFRICA’S hottest new band, Coda, takes to the stage at a picnic concert on the lush green lawns in front of the Nederburg manor-house for the final concert of the Nederburg Concert Series on Sunday at 17:00.
Coda heralds in summer with a fresh new wave of contemporary South African music that combines the beats of SA dance music with electric strings, saxophone and exhilarating live sampling.
Considered one of the country’s most successful fusion bands, Coda is a unique collaboration between electric cellist Carol Thorns, saxophonist Judy Brown, vocalist Yolanda Yawa and DJ Nick Matthews.
Their popularity has been cemented since the release of their debut album, Believe, with several tracks being playlisted by radio stations throughout the country
Tickets are R60. Patrons can bring their own picnic baskets, or order a picnic platter at R60 per person at the same time as booking their tickets.
