Mbeki visits this week

THE National Council of Provinces (NCOP) is hosting its sixth annual “Taking Parliament to the People” programme at Pniel this week.
The five day event started on Monday and will end tomorrow with an address by President Thabo Mbeki in the Pniel Cricket Stadium at 09:30.
The week long programme will address a wide range of issues through site visits, public hearings and specialised meetings.
During the week members of the public are accorded the opportunity to engage their leaders including the Ministers, Members of Provincial Legislatures (MPLs) and Councillors regarding issues affecting them.
They will also visit local schools and other institutions.
