A LARGE new security development of 192 housing units on 12,3 hectares, Bordeaux, is planned in Wellington on the west side of Piet Retief Street.

The 192 units will be grouped around two dams, with the entrance at the junction of De Villiers Street with Piet Retief Street.

The land, which previously belonged to the Levin family, is now the property of HS Spies.

The first phase of 7,5 hectares will consist of 100 units in 18 double storey blocks, varying from four to eight units per building (two and three bedroom flats) on erven of 415 square metres.

The second phase of 4,72 hectares will consist of 92 flats in similar blocks on erven of about 439 square metres each.

Homogenous design standards will be maintained in terms of the architectural design guidelines of the homeowners constitution.
Comments and/or objections must reach the municipal manager by 4 July.

* Another development of 22 flats in four blocks of two storeys is planned for Keerom Street, next to Hugo Rust Primary.

The site of 2000 square metres is the property of JM van Wyk. Objections close on 11 July.
