THE Rock Crisis Pregnancy Centre is a pro-active, pro-woman networking body, supporting women who are affected by unexpected pregnancy, HIV/AIDS and post-abortion stress.

Making a decision in such circumstances is difficult and the counsellors at the centre operate on a strictly confidential basis offering their supportive services in a safe environment with no costs involved.

“We don’t only offer counselling for pre- and post-abortion, motherhood and adoption options,” says Glenda, from Rock Crisis Pregnancy Centre.

“We also offer free pregnancy tests, parenting classes, baby clothes and a secure place to stay for the pregnant mother should she decide on adoption.”

The Crisis Pregnancy Centre now offers a school’s program of seven lessons as part of Life Skills Training. These lessons cover the topics of dating and relationships, sexual transmitted diseases and crisis pregnancy.

Rock Crisis Pregnancy Centre is one of the community projects run by Rock Community Care, a non-profit organisation which relies on community funding.

Contact them at 27 Berg River Boulevard, Paarl or 021-872-8716 .
