FRANSCHHOEK restaurants shone again at this year’s Eat Out Restaurant Awards, with The Tasting Room at Le Quartier Français scooping both the Eat Out Restaurant of the Year 2007 and the Eat Out Service Award 2007.
Both Bread & Wine, and the Restaurant at Grande Provence joined The Tasting Room at Le Quartier Français on the coveted 2007 Eat Out Top 10 Restaurants list.
The three award-winning winelands restaurants held the flag high for South Africa’s ‘gourmet capital’ at this year’s glittering ‘foodie Oscars’, which took place at The Rotunda at The Bay Hotel in Camp’s Bay.

The attraction is simple: real rustic food prepared with honesty and masses of flavour. The menu showcases chef Neil Jewell’s characteristic skills with an antipasti plate that is an absolute prerequisite, while the seasonal menu boasts original combinations of authentic, handcrafted ingredients.
