Paarl Mall filling up

Paarl Mall filling up

WITH the opening of the Paarl Mall due in October, only a few shops remain to be let.

The shopping centre is roof height and already well on the way to being fully let.

Gerald Nelson of the Grapnel Property Group is confident that the Centre will open on 20 October with a 100% store complement. “We already have a very exciting group of tenants,” he says, “and are now in search of the last few brands to perfectly complete the mix.”

Retail categories not yet filled are leather and luggage, fashion and accessories, speciality boutiques, giftware and special concept stores.

Destined to become one of the key centres in the Boland, Paarl Mall has already had a major impact on the region.

A whole new gateway in the Paarl Valley has been opened up with the new link between Paarl Mall and the N1 at Cecelia Street bridge under construction, and hundreds of employment opportunities for locals.

“Add the retail value of sharing the same roof as giants like Pick ‘n Pay, Woolworths, Edgars, Truworths, Clicks, Dischem and Mr Price,” Nelson points out, “and considering that the Centre will draw customers from as far afield as Wellington, Worcester, Franschhoek, Tulbagh, Ceres, Malmesbury and Montagu - then Paarl Mall becomes the undisputed prime location for any smaller brand or retailer looking for a foot in the valley door.”
