THE Drakenstein Municipality recently hosted their annual Community Games which was open to all children.
Sporting clinics of mini-rugby, mini-soccer, netball, athletics and various indigenous games was presented at various venues across the region.
The project visited Mbekweni rugby grounds last week where close to 500 children played to their heart’s content.
About 2800 participants were involved with the finale on Monday at Dal Josaphat Stadium.
In conjunction with the sports clinics the project also conducted awareness programmes warning against physical abuse, drug abuse and gangsterism.
