SOCIAL WORKER

Requirements:
Registered with the Council of Social Services Professions;
at least 1 year’s experience since qualifying; full driver’s licence;
be willing to work as part of an interdisciplinary team;
proficient language skills in English, Afrikaans and, as a recommendation, Xhosa.
Duties:
Psychosocial support to clients and their families living with a life-threatening illness, which includes running a bereavement service.
Be able to provide care within the three social work modalities. Be prepared to receive on-going training in palliative care and be willing to assist with the provision and development of training in the long term.
