• 1.FARMS PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR • (2 YEAR CONTRACT POSITION)
Requirements: Minimum 3 years’ experience in project/or administrative mgt.
• Understanding of community development and health-related issues, including HIV/Aids • Excellent people skills; and fluent in Afrikaans & English. • Excellent organisational, administrative, & reporting skills • Excellent computer skills, both MS Word & Excel. • Valid driver’s licence.
Responsibilities of this position:
• Implement and provide ongoing development of the farm dwellers’ wellness programme • Plan, organise and administer the project within the hospice context • Co-ordinate team, working with nursing sisters, social workers & health workers • Liaise with state departments, NGOs, farmers and argricultural groups • Assist with writing English narrative & statistical reports for funders
• 2.AUXILIARY NURSE/HEALTH CARE WORKER: • (2 YEAR CONTRACT POSITION)
• Essential to have a valid driver’s licence • Auxiliary nurse/carer qualifications • Minimum two years’ experience in practical health care • Ability to speak Afrikaans essential • Daily visits to farm workers to provide basic health care.
