MAINTENANCE
ELECTRICIAN
Key responsibilities:
Maintain all infrastructure and services as per job card for maximum availability.
Perform planned maintenance tasks and routine inspections in a cost effective manner.
Responsible for all safety aspects during maintenance tasks.
Apply lock-out procedures without exception.
Completion of job cards and report back on findings and actions taken.
Ensure loose articles are recorded on the temporary loose article list as per M86 and sign off task when completed.
Monitor and assist in developing of Artisan Aids and Workshop Assistants.
Maintain an environment that functions according to statutory requirements: i.e. Explosives Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Maintain good housekeeping standard in the workshop and when performing tasks on the plant
The successful candidate should possess:
Minimum N 3 or relevant NQF 4 equivalent qualification.
Suc-cessful trade test as Electrician.
Minimum 2 years relevant experience as a qualified artisan.
Ability to do faultfinding on electrical circuitry.
Knowledge or experience in electrical motor installations.
Standby duties as well as planned / unplanned overtime as dictated by working circumstances. Good communica-tion as well as interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with drive and initiative.
Good planning and organising and excellent time management skills.
Valid code 08 driver's licence.
Resident of Paarl / Wellington area or prepared to move.
