We are seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Accountant. A minimum of three years in an accounting position is required with preference to experience in a manufacturing, printing or media industry. A relevant qualification will be advantageous.
As part of the financial team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of the fixed asset register, review of sales invoices, handling of creditor and forex payments, hedging and general management of stock with regard to reviewing work of the stock clerk and reporting to the financial manager.
The successful candidate will be literate in all the Microsoft Office packages and have experience with an Accounting package such as Accpac or Pastel. Strong numerical and problem-solving skills is essential as well as the ability to work under pressure. The candidate must be willing to work extra hours to meet financial deadlines.
