A leading supplier of liquid filling systems, Filmatic Packaging Systems (Pty) Ltd, has an opportunity for a top performing Purchaser to join our team in Paarl.
The ideal candidate will possess at least a Grade 12 qualification together with a purchasing or buying qualification and have at least 5 years of buying experience in a manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the person will identify suppliers, negotiate prices, place orders, follow up and monitor supplier performance. The person will also establish/maintain purchasing systems to ensure controlled purchasing of all items including, but not limited to material, parts, consumer items and cleaning materials.
Critical skills for this position will be negotiation, planning and administration, effective communication and time management.
The successful candidate must be computer literate in Windows, MS Word, MS Excel and Pastel (preferred).
