MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN (Max: R200k - CTC p.a.)

Key responsibilities: Maintain all infrastructure and services as per job card for maximum plant availability
• Perform planned maintenance tasks and routine inspections in a cost-effective manner
• Responsible for all safety aspects during maintenance tasks
• Apply lock-out procedures without exception
• Completion of job cards and report back on findings and actions taken
• Ensure loose articles are recorded on the temporary loose article list as per M86 and sign off task when completed
• Monitor and assist in developing of Artisan Aids and Workshop Assistants
• Maintain an environment that functions according to statutory requirements: i.e. Explosives Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Maintain good housekeeping standard in the workshop and when performing tasks on the plant.

The successful candidate should possess: Minimum N 3 or relevant NQF 4 equivalent qualification
• Successful trade test as Electrician
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience as a qualified artisan
• Ability to do fault-finding on electrical circuitry
• Knowledge or experience in electrical motor installations
• Standby duties as well as planned/unplanned overtime as dictated by working circumstances
• Good communication as well as interpersonal skills
• Experience of cooling/refrigeration will be advantageous
• Ability to work independently with drive and initiative
• Good planning and organising and excellent time management skills
• Valid code 08 driver's licence
• Resident of Paarl/Wellington area or prepared to move.

INSTRUMENT MECHANICIAN (Max: R216k - CTC p.a.)
Key responsibilities: Executing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and routine inspections
• Proven experience in variable speed drives
• Be able to overhaul different types of valves
• Be able to calibrate a range of instrument equipment
• Working knowledge of PID control
• Working knowledge of pneumatic control systems
• Exposure to PLC systems in order to be able to do fault-finding
• The construction and laying of instrument cabling and installing of instrument equipment.

The successful candidate should possess: Minimum N3 or NQF4 equivalent qualification
• Successful trade test as Instrument Mechanician
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience as an Instrument Mechanician in a production or factory environment
• Standby duty on a rotational basis
• Planned as well as unplanned overtime as dictated by working circumstances • Excellent interpersonal skills
• Can work independently with initiative
• Good time management skills • Resident of Paarl/Wellington area or prepared to move.
