Paarl Coldset, a member of the Paarl Media Group of Companies, is a leading printing business in South Africa, specialising in the reproduction, printing and finishing of quality newspapers and commercial material. We cater for the printing needs of a diverse customer base which includes a number of leading newspaper brands in the country.
The opportunity is hereby presented for a suitably qualified and experienced Estimator to join our Paarl Coldset team in Cape Town.
Estimator
We are currently recruiting for an Estimator with extensive experience in the fields of costing and estimating in the general commercial printing environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum qualification of matric with Mathematics, Accountancy and a Cost Management Diploma or Estimator's Diploma. Experience with an estimation system will be an added advantage.
The job entails estimating of printing orders; processing of job cards; providing customers with accurate quotes and liaising with all stakeholders to ensure that customer requirements are met.
The candidate will also be required to assess the cost effectiveness of products, projects or services and provide accurate costing information to management to assist with planning, organizing and scheduling of work.
The candidate will also interact closely with the financial department to maintain costing equity and accuracy.
The position requires an accurate person with strong numerical skills; computer literate with proficiency in the Microsoft Office packages; good interpersonal skills and team orientation. The candidate will be bilingual (English and Afrikaans) and be able to work under pressure.
