RAPCAN Resources Aimed at the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect seeks to appoint a SOCIAL WORKER 1 YEAR CONTRACT
To join its Child Protection and Support Services team. The social worker will be responsible for: • Co-ordinating and implementing the Child Witness Project at Paarl court • Providing victim impact statements as well as assessments of children with regard to readiness to testify • Pursuing strategic alliances with similar organisations. The ideal candidate will be an experienced social worker in the child abuse and criminal justice fields - with leadership qualities and management experience – assessment, counselling and supervision skills – computer literate – in possession of a valid code 08 driver’s licence – Afrikaans & English speaking and committed to children’s rights. The social worker must be registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions. The following would be advantageous: - experience in an NGO environment – own vehicle. Preference will be given to candidates from the above-mentioned communities Remuneration is negotiable, based on experience. RAPCAN is an equal opportunity employer.
