Sports Facilitator (Mbekweni)
Founded in 1991, SCORE is a leading NGO working in the field of sport and development in South Africa, using sport as a tool to achieve individual empowerment and to engage and strengthen communities. A new project in Mbekweni requires a passionate sports trainer and facilitator.
Responsibilities:
Based at the new Mbekweni Community Sport Centre, the key responsibilities include:
Program implementation in line with existing project proposals and planning; facilitation of sports leadership, coaching, and life skills courses/workshops; supporting centre activity programs including events; working with program stakeholders and facilitating community sport planning processes and follow up support to community sports structures and programs; project and program administration and reporting.
Qualifications Required:
Grade 12 and 3-5 years' demonstrated experience in facilitation and training. Formal certification in training/facilitation preferred. Hands-on experience working at community level with sports programs. Experience working with youth and using sport as a development tool. Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation methods. Must be computer literate and fluent in Xhosa and English. Driver's licence strongly preferred.
