LEARNERSHIPS
The West Coast/Winelands Region, as part of their Skills Development Programme for 2006, offers the following Learnerships:
1. Auxiliary Assistant Nurse
2. Bridging from Assistant Nurse to Enrolled Nurse
3. Pharmacist Assistant (Basic Level)
4. Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic Level)
Interested persons are hereby invited to apply for participation in the above-mentioned training programmes. Employment is not guaranteed after completion of the training programme.
1. AUXILIARY ASSISTANT NURSE:
Requirements: Minimum of Grade 10 (std.8)
Training Sentra: Eben Dönges Hospital Worcester (Theory)
Paarl Hospital (Practical)
Duration of course: 12 Months (commencing 27 February 2006)

2. BRIDGING FROM NURSE ASSISTANT TO ENROLLED NURSE
Requirements: Assistant Nurse (Completed after 1992)
Minimum of Grade 10 (std.8)
Registration at SANC
Training Sentra: Eben Dönges Hospital Worcester (Theory)
Paarl Hospital (Practical)
Duration of course: 12 Months (commencing 27 February 2006)

Requirements: Proof of Registration as Pharmacist's Assistant(Basic Level) with the S.A Pharmacy Council
Duration of Course: Minimum 12 Months (commencing 27 February 2006)

GENERAL INFORMATION APPLICABLE TO ALL APPLICANTS:

2. Must be able to communicate effectively (read, write and speak) in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
3. Target group will be preferably persons under the age of 30 years.
