INSTRUMENT MECHANICIAN (Western Cape)
The successful candidate should possess: • Minimum N3 or NQF equivalent. • Successful trade test as Instrument Mechanician. • Minimum 3 years relevant experience as an Instrument Mechanician in a production or factory environment. • Standby duty on a rotational basis. • Planned as well as unplanned overtime as dictated by working circumstances. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Can work independently with initiative. • Good time management skills. • Resident of Paarl / Wellington area or prepared to move.
Responsibilities entail: • Executing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and routine inspections. • Proven experience in variable speed drives. • Be able to overhaul different types of valves. • Be able to calibrate a range of instrument equipment. • Working knowledge of PID control. • Working knowledge of pneumatic control systems. • Exposure to PLC systems in order to be able to do fault finding. • The construction and laying of instrument cabling and installing of instrument equipment.
