The following vacancy exists at Imperial Cargo Western Cape at our Paarl Depot.
FLEET CONTROLLER
JOB FUNCTION:
Total management of ± 20 line haul vehicles.
Monitoring and controlling of vehicles.
Load administration.
Planning and scheduling of vehicles and trailers.
Debriefing and tasking of drivers.
Administrative and reporting functions.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Five years experience in a similar position with an excellent proven ability of scheduling trucks.
RAU Transport Diploma or similar or studying to one.
Computer literacy.
Good communication skills.
Willingness to work long hours.
Working knowledge of Powertrack tracking system.
Independent worker, self-motivated.
Must be able to calculate and interpret diesel consumption.
A diagnostic approach to problem solving.
Excellent knowledge of trucks and trailers specifications and abilities.
Ability to supervise ± 20 employees.
