1. SENIOR SUPERVISOR: MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT: STREET CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE (CIV-03/D.A.02.01.01.01)
2. SUPERVISOR: STREETS: TAR CONSTRUCTION (CIV-03/D.A.02.01.01.03.09)
SELECTION CRITERIA:
(1) Grade 10 plus Code EB driver’s licence. Know-ledge of application of construction plant equip-ment and machinery for street construction and maintenance. Supervisory, human relations and communication skills. Ability to give attention to detail.
(2) Grade 10 plus Code C driver’s licence with PDP. Knowledge of construction and tarring of streets. Supervisory, human relations and communication skills. Ability to give attention to detail.
EXPERIENCE:
(1) 5 Years’ relevant experience on the application of different road construction machinery on construc-tion projects and the operating thereof.
(2) 4 Years’ relevant experience in the construction of roads and stormwater to tar standard.
SALARY SCALE:
(1) R75 396 - R87 420 per annum (Basic Salary) Post Level 11.
(2) R65 832 - R74 040 per annum (Basic Salary) Post Level 12.
Note: Proof of Qualifications is a requirement for selection.
The requirements of the Employment Equity Act will be considered for this position, but will not be the only criteria applied.
A service bonus equal to one month's salary is payable and normal fringe benefits related to Local Authorities
including a housing allowance

Placement of candidates for work can be done in any area of Drakenstein. This area covers Simondium, Paarl, Wellington, Gouda, Hermon and Saron.
