OFFICE MANAGER TO THE RECTORATE
1 YEAR CONTRACT
This highly challenging position, reporting directly to the Rector, requires special expertise and organising ability, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The incumbent will be responsible for secretarial and office managerial duties, support, and co-ordination of the activities of the Rectorate's offices.
Duties: Secretarial and managerial support to the Rectorate; general administration including text preparation of internal and external communication; management of all logistical requirements within the offices of the Rectorate; internal and external liaison with stakeholders; ad hoc research assistance for the Rectorate regarding specific themes and matters; secretarial support for management meetings; handling of e-mails.
Requirements: Relevant secretarial and/or office management qualification obtained after school; high level computer compe-tence in Microsoft Office and Web applications; at least five years' proven working experience in a similar position at this level; ability to work independently; distinct interpersonal skills; excellent language and communication skills in English as well as Afrikaans; high-level organisational skills.
Recommendations: A relevant three year Baccalaureus degree or an equivalent qualification; previous working experience in a Higher Education environment.
Commencement of duties: As soon as possible.
