A FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLD girl was raped last Wednesday, when she and a friend were left alone in a taxi.

The young girls had been travelling in the taxi and after the driver had dropped the passengers off, he and his guard proceeded with the girls to the Berg River near the Boy Louw sports fields.

It is alleged that the guard (25) then raped one of the girls.

He was later arrested in Wellington.

* A man aged 38 was arrested last Friday for the rape of a 39-year-old woman on Fraaigelegen farm, on the Wemmershoek Road south of Paarl.
