A FRANSCHHOEK marathon runner, Steve Drew, will be running for charity at the 2008 London Marathon in April. Drew is supporting the UK’s leading breast cancer charity, Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The London Marathon is one of the biggest marathon events in the world with more than a half million people entered to run a 26,2 mile course. “I am running to support friends and family who have had breast cancer,” said Drew this week. Drew is encouraging local sponsorship to take part in the race and all contributions will go to raising funds for Breakthrough’s research, campaigning and education. To sponsor Steve Drew, visit the website www.justgiving.com/stevedrew.
