Half-marathon on Worker's Day

2008-04-30

ON Worker’s Day, 1 May, supporters of the Safari Half-marathon in Wellington, are reminded to come and see whether last year’s winner, Norman Dlomo, can successfully defend the coveted title.

This event, which celebrates its 21st birthday, attracts a quality field of runners, who compete for prize money of R30 000.

Participants stand in line to win a Hyundai Atos, as well as loads of other exciting prizes.

The half-marathon starts at 07:15 in Willem Basson Road next to the Boland rugby stadium, with the 5km fun run starting at 07:10 in the same road. The 10km walk has a later start at 09:45 in Blouvlei Road. All races will end at Huguenot High School.
