Emotional memorial service for siblings

Emotional memorial service for siblings

2008-08-28

ON 18 August a memorial service was held at Imboniselo Primary School in remembrance of a young learner.

Khanya Mere (6) died tragically with his sister Mtnseleng (4) when their house burnt down in Mbekweni.

The fire presumably started due to an electrical fault in a heater in their home.

Nomfudo Ngqandu, teacher of Khanya, said, that he was a very quiet boy and did not like to disturb his fellow classmates.

“He was a very active boy in maths and counting,” says Nomfudo.

Eric Mgajo, principal of Imboniselo Primary, passed on his condolences on behalf of the school.

Khanya and Mtnseleng were laid to rest on Saturday.
