Local charities need your help through Xmas Fund

THE Paarl Post Christmas Fund annually collects funds for the Western Cape Community Chest, which supports about 40 deserving local charities. Paarl Post readers are invited to contribute to this year’s fundraising campaign in the run up to Christmas. All local contributions are held in a separate bank account and are distributed only to local organisations within the Paarl Post readership area. Beneficiaries in the Paarl area are ACVV Paarl, Paarlvallei, Wellington and Franschhoek, Sanca Paarl, Rusoord Old Age Home, Silwerkruin Old Age Home, ACVV Paarl, ACVV Paarl-Vallei, Oasis Service Centre for seniors, Badisa Paarl and Wellington, Child Welfare Paarl and Wellington, Drakenstein Centre for physically disabled, Aandblom Senior Care (Windmeul), Care Craft workshop for epilepsy sufferers in Wellington, Abbeyfield Home in Wellington, Andrew Murray Children’s Home, Help & Health Feeding Scheme, Haven Night Shelter, Ikhwezi Trust, Saron Community Services and Good Hope Psychological Services. Educare centres and nursery schools who are also funded, are Wielie Walie, Trompie, Sinethemba, Mamzana, Lingelihle, Masibulele, Nompumelelo, Ncebekazi (disabled children), Kairos (Simondium), Amstel Aftercare, Magnolia Aftercare, Rise & Shine, Little Stars, Little Flower and Siyakhula. Other service organisations which also received funding from Community Chest are Sanca, Cansa, Rapcan, Famsa, Autism Western Cape, TB Care, Santa, Hospice, Dementia SA and Diabetes SA. Donations can be paid directly into the Community Chest/Paarl Post Christmas Fund account 6215 202 9007 at FNB (branch code 261150) and fax the proof of payment to 086-270-3693 (att Xmas Fund).
