AFTER several requests from non-fee schools in the Drakenstein Municipal area for funding, the Mayoral Committee last week approved the allocation of money to these schools.

They will use this money for special projects and have to report back to the municipality on how they will spend the money.

Of the R500 000 budgeted for this purpose, R420 000 was allocated to 39 non-fee schools and to three special schools. Each school will receive R10 000.
