THE Drakenstein Municipality handed over equipment to the Community Police Forums of Drakenstein recently at the Thusong Centre, Mbekweni.

Council has made R500 000 available to the office of the Executive Director of Social Services, Tommy Matthee and they decided to focus on strengthening the hands of Community Safety Forums through­­out Drakenstein Municipal Area.

The equipment included closed circuit cameras, two-way radios, torches, reflector jackets, bicycles with accessories, windbreakers, T-shirts and handcuffs.
