Larries celebrate 150 years

La Rochelle Girls’ High celebrated its 150th birthday last week, culminating in a reunion and service awards ceremony for outstanding old girls and former principals.
The awardees were Christa le Roux (principal 1963-1991), Prof Lizette Rabe (head of the Dept of Journalism at Stellenbosch University), author Alba Bouwer, Louise Smit (writer and producer), Johanna Heydenrych (Longland - principal 1992-2001), and the author Elsa Joubert
