THE N1 inbound carriageway after the Klapmuts interchange will be closed on Saturday from 06:00 to 18:00 for repairs to a damaged bridge.
Traffic travelling to Cape Town will be diverted with signposts onto the R44 at the Klapmuts Interchange, and then along the R45 and R304, and back onto the N1 at the Koelenhof interchange.
The SA National Roads Agency (Sanral) has requested motorists to exercise care and patience.
