THE traffic authorities in Paarl are taking a no-nonsense stance towards traffic offenders, also targetting illegal drag-races.

Traffic chief Japie Cornelissen this week said that traffic offenders think that especially over weekends they can do as they please, but “no more”.

“We are conducting road-blocks day and night. This past weekend 362 drivers were stopped and checked for licences, the roadworthiness of their vehicles and alcohol abuse. “
