Who has taken the German Shepherd home?
2006-01-19
THE help of a private investigator has been enlisted to track a German Shepherd dog that went missing from his home in Courtrai on Christmas Day.
Angus, a well-trained four-year-old dog, was wearing a leather collar with a metal disc engraved with ‘Angus 021-8632264’ as well as a plastic disc engraved with ‘42’. He has a tattoo in his ear - FJO152.
Posters had been put up by the Ferguson family, and a man calling himself Ricky reported to the Animal Welfare in Bellville South that he had picked up a German Shepherd with a tattoo 152 and he was trying to get the dog’s details through the tattoo number.
“Ricky” does not answer his cellphone.
“We are fearing the worst, that Angus might have been stolen for breeding purposes. The man is not interested in Angus’s owners but only in details of the dog,” Sue Ferguson said.
“Our son Roy is an only child, and Angus means everything to him.”
That is why the Fergusons are insisting that the police investigate a charge of theft, and why they have enlisted the help of a private detective this week.
The Fergusons can be reached on 083-679-3985.
