A WELLKNOWN former Paarlite, John Pygram, has died in London at the age of 96.
Pygram’s Ballet School, located opposite the Protea cinema, was a landmark in Paarl for 15 years until its closure in 1985, when he retired to Gordon’s Bay.
Pygram returned to his land of birth, England, in April 1986, and settled in Streatham, London.
He died of cancer on 4 March at St Christopher’s Hospice.
