Train driver attacked at death scene

A TRAIN driver was attacked by an angry mob, after a man from Mbekweni landed under the wheels. The incident took place on Saturday afternoon between Mbekweni and Wellington.
When the train driver stopped to assess the damage he was attacked by a crowd of people who had gathered next to the railway line, and was forced to drive away.
The body of Khayaletu Bidla of OR, was found on the tracks. He had left suicide notes for his family in his house.
* A tractor driver has died after he was crushed by the wheels of his tractor on the farm L’Ormarins. Willem Prins (26) fell off his tractor on 9 November and was admitted to Paarl MediClinic with serious injuries, where he died nearly a week later.
* A woman died after an argument with her friend at a house in Azalea Street, Paarl East, on Saturday morning.
Joyce Pietersen was arrested following the death by stabbing of Lenie Meyer (30).
